Tango Night5 p.m. Philadelphia Museum Of Art 2600 Benjamin Franklin Parkway
Tango Night is a romantic evening that celebrates the age of Argentine Tango. There will be dance performances by Dances of Vice and Sergio Segura and the Strictly Tango Dance Company. You will also be able to do some dancing of your own to the music of JP Jofre New Tango Quartet.
Duett 6 pm Grizzly Grizzly 319 N 11th Street, 2nd FloorDuett, the German word for duet, features British, Berlin-based artist Alanna Lawley, and American artist from Philadelphia, Matt Giel. The two have been sharing ideas through Skype, email and GChat in order to produced photographic and mixed media images for this exhibit. The exhibition will cover three-dimensional, installed photographic work by the pair, made in Philadelphia reacting to their ongoing discussions and exchanges.
4th Annual Abstract Photography Exhibition 6 pm LG Tripp Gallery 47 N. Second StreetThe 4th Annual Abstract Photography Exhibition. It presents works by seven artists in their first exhibition at LGTripp Gallery. Nik S. Clements, Alyssha Eve Csuk, Chip Forelli, Mallary Johnson, Jenny Lynn, Paul Rider, and Rachel Zimmerman will display their talent in this collection of photographs which offer a bird‘s eye glimpse of themes that show the uniqueness of photography as a medium.
