This year’s Manayunk Arts Festival promises to deliver all the stops for their annual summer arts festival happening in June. The Manayunk Development Corporation and the Mural Arts Program have joined forces to have Manayunk as the “public arts district” and what they need is you, the local artists, to submit your work!
The arts festival wants to promote any type of work from murals to light and sound pieces, to sculptures that will be displayed in “roving galleries” and art panels on all walking streets in Manayunk. All of the art work will be located between the canal, Main Street, and various open spaces between buildings.
The deadline for the 22nd Annual Manayunk Arts Festival is Friday, March 25. For more details on the application process check out the Public Art Manayunk website.
The festival will be taking place June 25-26, 2011. The festival hours also vary: 11-7 pm on Saturday and 11-6 pm on Sunday. This is the largest outdoor arts and crafts show in the Delaware Valley, do not miss your chance to display your work!
