Sometimes you just need a slower pace-- something stripped down, authentic, easy to appreciate.  An evening with Scott McMicken (of Dr. Dog), Birdie Busch and Annie and the Beekeepers sounds just about right.

All three acts will be playing a special event at Studio 34 over in West Philadelphia on Saturday, March 6th.

McMicken will be playing a rare solo set at the venue before he heads out with Dr. Dog on their spring and summer tour.  Busch has easily established herself as a Philly favorite.  Her latest release "Pattern of Saturn" is full of folksy-western melodies that few can resist.  And Brooklyn's Annie and the Beekeepers will add even more dark-country wonderfulness to the bill before they play again at the Church on March 12 with The Low Anthem.

A donation of $8 is suggested for the event.  It is BYOB and home-brewed sweet teas will be on the house (mmmm!).  The show starts at 7:30 pm.  You will regret not going to this one, so clear your schedules.
