1. Jay Reatard/Screaming Females/TV Smith Live Show Pictures
Since I’m never really ever fully satisfied from the Jay Reatard live experience, I was there for the openers. But, hey, Jay was selling his new LP Watch Me Fall, over a month early, so that ruled. I probably freaked out the merch guy I was so excited.
2. Sakes Alive Tour Journal: Part One
"Right now, I’m typing out our first tour journal post from inside the van on the road to Pittsfield, MA on my Blackberry phone. It’s absolutely fucking amazing the ridiculous amounts of luxuries people can “enjoy” these days. I can’t even fathom what it must have been like for bands like Minor Threat trying to head out on the road. It’s give and take though."
3. Pictures of Lucero from the Big Apple BBQ
A few weeks back, Lucero played at the uber-crowded Big Apple BBQ in Manhattan. So while I didn’t get to try Blue Smoke, I did get to see one of my favorite bands for free. Perhaps taking advantage of playing in front of different crowd, the band debuted a lot of new songs from their upcoming full-length.

Why YOU Should Listen!: Let me start this off by saying I’m pretty pissed at myself here. I feel like I probably could have seen Screaming Females about 29 times by now. Chalk it up to me being a lazy sack of shit or whatever but I finally took my head out of the sand and saw the band live recently.
