A week or two ago, I was discussing the movies of this coming fall with a friend and neither of us were too jazzed. All of a sudden, I’ve realized there’s a lot of good coming out in the next few months and the top of my list is Zombieland.
Yes, you could say I’m a little biased because it features the same lead actor (Jesse Eisenberg) and the same suffix as my favorite movie of the year (the great Adventureland), but it just looks like a fantastic zombie movie, and we all know how Philly loves our zombies. Woody Harrelson looks like he could be at his funniest in years and Emma Stone from Superbad gives it a little more cred among the Apatow-loving teen masses.
Why should you care? Well director Ruben Fleischer has directed videos for M.I.A., Wiley, Dizzee Rascal, Piebald, The Dismemberment Plan and many more. This is the second much-hyped movie of the year from a music video director. 500 Days of Summer director Marc Webb also got his start doing videos for the likes of AFI, Good Charlotte and many others.
