Philly based fashion blogger, Jacci Stallone, is anything but ordinary and the same can be said for her blog, Being Perfect is Hard. Jacci builds custom bike wheels at Bell’s Bike Shop, spins tracks at various nightclubs in Philly as a part time DJ, and she’s a full-time fashion blogger. (And one of my favorites at that) On top of this, she’s launching an e-store this month, Some Velvet Vintage. We got the scoop on what’s to come from her latest project and an inside look at some of the pieces, as well as some insight into Jacci's own sense of style.
Phrequency: Your blog beingperfectishard.com is the perfect mix of ...well, everything! There are very few blogs that successfully connect streetstyle, daily looks, designer inspiration, and humor, but your blog does all of that. Is this your first and only blog?
JS: Yes, this would be my first blog. I just started another one for Some Velvet as well, which will focus more on new items I'm selling in the store, photo shoots, etc.
P: We’ve heard about your online vintage shop that’s set to launch, Some Velvet Vintage, can you tell us more about what we should expect?
JS: To begin with, expect lots of off-the-wall vintage clothing, shoes, and houseware items from all different eras. In the future I hope to expand to mens wear and also carry things from newer designer lines, jewelry, and local artists.

P: What inspired you to start Some Velvet Vintage?
JS: I ran a vintage eBay store called Gutter Fairy Vintage for about 3 years. The time sensitive auctions on eBay are a lot to keep up with, especially when you have 2 other jobs, not to mention the eBay fees are pretty high. I decided to close down Gutter Fairy and try to start my own website from scratch, with a new name and slightly new concept, but I definitely want to keep the same vintage aesthetic. Some Velvet is much more personal to me. Don Vincent Ortega designed the entire site, business cards, etc. and it really came out just how I envisioned it!
