I’ve seen Philly bar band/rock’n roll wunderkind Blood Feathers live at least a half-dozen times now. And each and every time, without fail, it's the same: what starts out as a semi-orderly concert setting (hipster-ish music fans standing idly by, slurping beers or maybe sndng txts) quickly dissolves into a giant dance party, with audience members clapping, stomping and do-si-do-ing with what only can be described as wild enthusiasm.

Of course, that’s not all together surprising, considering it is NEARLY IMPOSSIBLE TO LISTEN TO BLOOD FEATHERS sitting still. No really! The Philly 6-piece—who have been kicking it old skool for nearly 5 years now—craft the kind of punchy, funky, horn-and-keys-laced good old fashioned ROCK SONGS that make you feel like really letting loose—maybe chugging a Budweiser and cutting a rug with your high school sweetie in some Nixon-era garage while Mom and Dad are out at the PTA meeting.

And that’s all well and good because...Blood Feathers just released their sophomore album, Goodness Gracious, on Philly’s own Philebrity label, and you can snag a copy of your very own on iTunes.

Recorded and mixed by Quentin Stoltzfus (of Mazarin fame) then finished at CYHSY frontman Alec Ounsworth’s home studio—expect a rollicking romp of non-stop fun. Look for Goodness Gracious on LP and CD February 23—and catch the band live January 16 for their record release at Johnny Brenda’s.
