Need something to do on your lunch break today? Head over to Love Park from 11-12:30 for the Museums Without Walls kick-off event. MWW is a new audio program that is free to the public and highlights the 51 sculptures along the Benjamin Franklin Parkway and up Kelly Drive into Fairmount Park. If you haven't got the dough for a visit to the Philadelphia Museum of Art, now there's no excuse for you to remain uncultured.
This program––meant to call attention to the fact that Philadelphia has the largest amount of outdoor sculpture compared to any other American city––allows viewers to leisurely explore each of these works of art while listening to commentary by experts and the artists themselves. This program is free and all you need is your mobile phone, or to download the audio files onto your MP3 player before you set out to see all the sculptures. A map, the audio files and all pertinent info can be found at the MMW website.
