I am a newbie when it comes to the comic world, but I know something cool when I see it. Local comic creator and artist Brian "Box" Brown is definitely cool.
This Philly dude has developed quite a following through his webcomic called Bellen! which he publishes daily on his Web site. He is also a member of local comic collective Philly Comix Jam and has quiet a few prints and publications under his belt.
This Friday (March 5th), Brown will be launching his latest comic book project called "Everything Dies" at Brave New Worlds in Old City and it is sure to be one hell of a party.
Those in attendance will get a glimpse of the first two issues of the comic series that is devoted to "religion as myth throughout the world." Brown, who received funding for the project through KickStarter.com, plans to publish at least six issues of the series in the near future.
The book release and signing will last from 6pm to 9pm, so make sure to come out and support a local artist (PS. There will be beer).
