By now most people have heard that Pavement is coming to the Mann this fall. The band kicked off the tour in New Zealand last night, taking the stage for the first time in more than 10 years.

You've got your Pavement reunion, now you want The Velvet Underground, too? John Cale says no way.

No plans tonight? Muse is at the Wachovia Center, or you can swing by Efterklang at FUC.

Last week we phreqed when people started saying Carly Simon's "You're so Vain" was about David Geffen. Simon says no -- it was a different guy who walked into the party like he was walking onto a yacht.

NPR is streaming Broken Bells' upcoming album in its entirety. The self-titled collaboration between The Shins' James Mercer and Danger Mouse is out next Tuesday.

Gogol Bordello's got a new album out April 27. They'll play in support of the Rick-Rubin-produced Trans-Continental Hustle in Philadelphia on May 1.

Details on The Roots picnic were announced by ?uestlove via Twitter last night. Run DMC will reunite! Other performers include Pattern is Movement, Vampire Weekend, Clipse, Mayer Hawthorne, and more.

And finally, yesterday we mentioned the new album from The Gorillaz was streaming at The Guardian. Check out the band's music video for "Stylo," featuring CGI Gorrillaz -- and Bruce Willis!
